Blue Sky T'ai Chi Ch'uan

Grand Master William C. C. Chen, who is known as the most influential stylist of his generation, streamlined the 37 position form to emphasize the continual flow of energy. Carolyn Hearn teaches in his Beginners' classes. She has won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for the Form and for Push-Hands in U.S. tournaments, as well as the Sword form, for which she won a Bronze medal at the First Cheng Man Ching European Championship - 2002 in Perigueux, France, competing against martial artists from all over the world. She has also acted as Judge. She is T'ai'chi Ch'uan Consultant to NYCHA, teaching in Senior Citizen Centers throughout Manhattan and conducts a popular free class in Carl Schurz Park over the summer, featured in the June 10, 2004 issue of Time Out New York
